CONSULTING
Whether it is for a new building or an existing one, we will help you identify the best solutions for your new system or verify whether the existing system is working efficiently. We believe in an integrated approach that aims to meet the client’s needs, offering multi-source or hybrid configurations, considering combinations with gas boilers, air-source heat pumps, and photovoltaic systems.
DESIGN
Our team of engineers and geologists uses numerical simulation software such as EWS® PRO, TERMOLOG®, and MODFLOW-USG® for the design phases of geothermal systems. This includes analysing the hydrogeological characteristics of the site, the building's energy needs, and numerical modeling to assess hydraulic and thermal influence in the ground. During the design process, we also manage the necessary authorization procedures to ensure the correct implementation of the project.
INNOVATION
We place particular emphasis on innovative solutions, keeping up with the latest scientific research in the field through collaborations with professors at Politecnico di Milano and research organizations such as EURAC Research. TRT interpretation is carried out with both analytical and numerical solutions, allowing us to accurately define parameters even in cases of significant groundwater flow, a factor often neglected but crucial for heat exchange with the ground, and consequently for the correct design of the system. We value the exploitation of various energy sources such as residual heat from industrial processes, wastewater, and water treated in remediation processes. GEOKORE is also involved in research activities concerning the development of innovative techniques for thermal energy storage in the ground through closed circuits (Borehole Thermal Energy Storage) or open circuits (Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage).
WE WORK WITH MULTIPLE TYPES OF SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES
Vertical geothermal energy
Horizontal geothermal energy

UNIQUE SOLUTIONS FOR EVERY SECTOR
PRIVATE HOUSING
If you want to improve the energy efficiency of your building, low-temperature geothermal energy (geo-exchange) is the right solution to ensure thermal comfort year-round and make you independent from air conditioning systems powered by fossil fuels.
We assess your building’s energy needs using specialized software to offer the most suitable solution for your specific requirements, ensuring both cost savings and an efficient system. Based on thermal needs, the hydrogeological and thermal characteristics of the subsoil, and available space for installation, we can propose closed-loop geothermal systems (with vertical or horizontal geothermal probes), open-loop systems (with geothermal extraction and reinjection wells), or hybrid systems that can also utilize alternative energy sources to geothermal energy (air-source heat pumps, condensing boilers, etc.).
GEOKORE can estimate the total cost of the planned interventions and the payback period for the investment, comparing standard solutions with innovative solutions that can incorporate photovoltaic systems. GEOKORE also assists clients with the necessary authorization process to ensure the project complies with legal regulations.
COMMERCIAL
GEOKORE has experience in the hospitality, commercial, and agricultural sectors in the design of geothermal systems. In these sectors, special attention is required to the client’s needs, which may involve simultaneous heating and cooling, extended air conditioning periods, or temperature set points that differ from those typical in residential and domestic environments.
GEOKORE creates energy models using dedicated software to analyse the thermal needs of the structure and develops an energy concept to provide more efficient solutions, maximizing the potential of the building.
INDUSTRIAL
The industrial sector, like the commercial sector, may require different considerations compared to the residential sector when designing geothermal systems, due to the unique and varied needs associated with industrial processes. For GEOKORE, this characteristic can represent an advantage if properly utilized. For example, heat recovery from the processes themselves can be used as an alternative source to geothermal energy.
GEOKORE also develops smart and innovative solutions, such as utilizing water extracted from "barrier" wells installed at industrial sites for aquifer remediation (systems commonly known as "Pump&Treat") to produce thermal energy.
DISTRICT HEATING
GEOKORE is also able to provide support for the use of geothermal heat pump systems in traditional high-temperature district heating plants and/or "cold" district heating systems (state-of-the-art), which can then be combined with other heat generation systems.
Thanks to the support of analytical and numerical calculation codes, GEOKORE can study and manage thermal storage (hot or cold) in the ground, simulating the operation of ATES (aquifer thermal energy storage) and BTES (borehole thermal energy storage) systems. This innovative technology is significant for geothermal systems in general, and especially for district heating systems.
